Family Enterprises & Multigenerational Wealth

Stewarding Legacy: Coaching & Strategy for Family Enterprises

Family enterprises hold something rare—capital, memory, identity, and relationship, all bound together across generations. That is also what makes these environments uniquely demanding.

In a family enterprise, the personal and the professional are rarely separate. Decisions about leadership, wealth, succession, governance, and the future of the enterprise inevitably intersect with relationships, expectations, individual aspirations, and family history.

My role is to create the space for those conversations and help families find greater clarity around what matters, where they are going, and how they want to move forward together.

My work can span individual coaching, family conversations, leadership and team development, strategic facilitation, and trusted advisory—always shaped around the particular needs and dynamics of the family.

Who This Is For

  • Principals, founders, and next-generation family member

  • Single- and multi-family offices

  • Family-owned and family-led enterprises

  • Family enterprise boards and governance councils

  • Executives and professional advisors serving multi-generational families

What do I actually want my role in this family to be?

Creating space for the person within the family system.

Every family member has a different relationship to the enterprise—founder, inheritor, spouse, next-generation leader, in-law, operator, or beneficiary.

One-to-one coaching provides a confidential space to explore questions that can be difficult to work through when the family is in the room: identity, responsibility, contribution, leadership, choice, and what each person genuinely wants for their own life.

These conversations are discreet and highly individual. They are also connected to the larger whole, because clarity at the individual level can make real alignment at the family level possible.

Creating the conditions for the conversations that need to happen.

Families carry history — along with assumptions, loyalties, and ways of communicating built up over decades. When circumstances change, those patterns don't always change with them.

I help families have candid conversations across generations: surfacing different perspectives, making room for what has gone unsaid, and building a clearer picture of what to preserve, what to change, and what to create together. The objective isn't agreement on everything. It's understanding one another well enough to decide well together.

What aren't we talking about that's shaping our decisions?

What is this wealth ultimately for?

Bringing purpose, roles, and decision-making into alignment.

A family enterprise is rarely one team. The family council, the office, the operating businesses, the advisors, and the rising generation each hold their own role — and their own expectations the others may not fully see.

I facilitate the questions that sit underneath structure and governance, with every generation in the room as participants rather than observers. Alignment that excludes the people it depends on doesn't hold.

  • What do we want to protect — and what are we willing to change?

  • Who wants to contribute, and in what way?

  • How will decisions be made, and where should authority sit?

  • What does responsible stewardship look like for the next generation?
